Lily is visiting in Gorham from Beijing, China for 6 months as part of an international teacher exchange program. She is observing and teaching classes at Gorham Middle and, High Schools and at Narragansett School.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?
ADULT BASIC EDUCATION AND ESOL
If you need help with basic reading, writing and speaking skills, this program
is for you. Tutoring and classes are free.
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA PROGRAM
Academic classes and individualized programs offer an opportunity for adults
who have not completed high school to earn their diploma.
G.E.D. PROGRAM
The test of General Educational Development (GED) is another way for you to
earn your high school diploma. If you
want to go on to a university or technical college or need a diploma for your
job, the GED may be the option for you. We offer instruction to prepare for the
test and pre-testing to ensure that you are ready for the test. Gorham Adult Education is an official test
site for the G.E.D. exam.
To enroll in one of the above academic programs, call 222-1095 to set up
an intake appointment. We will help you
decide which program is the best fit for you.
CORE COLLEGE READINESS PROGRAM
CORE (COllege REadiness) is new to Gorham Adult Education this year. It is designed to help adults in the
community make the transition to college.
The program includes counseling, classes to ensure that you have the
right skills to be successful in college, career development and support to
apply for college. Call 222-1095 to
learn more about CORE.

The ever-changing workplace requires education for workers to upgrade skills
and knowledge. Various classes are offered to help you meet these demands.
FAMILY LINKS - GORHAM FAMILY LITERACY PROGRAM
Do you have a child under the age of 8? Do you want to get your GED or high
school diploma? Do you need to brush up on your job readiness or career skills?
Family Links will help you with your own educational goals as well as those of
your children. We offer adult education classes, parenting classes, early
childhood support in home and at school, and fun family group activities.
LIFE-LONG LEARNING AND COMMUNITY CLASSES
Learn new skills and foster your special talents through these classes. Click
